In the afternoon of Sept. 17th, Chinese and foreign Lawyers Seminar Discussion on Air Pollution was held at Sunshine Law Firm’s Beijing office. This Seminar was presided by Dr. Wen Lizhao, she’s a partner of Sunshine Law Firm and also a visiting scholar of Vermont Law School.

Mr. Steve Wolfson, a Senior Lawyer of United States Environmental Protection Agency, shared experience of American environmental legal practice and typical cases of air pollution. As a Chinese representative, Mr. Ma Rongzhen from Friends of Nature NGO also shared Chinese public interest litigation experience and the first Chinese air pollution public interest litigation recent verdict case.

In addition, Mr. Yu Wenxuan from Environmental and Resources Law Research Institute of China University of Political Science and Law， visiting scholar of Harvard University Ms. Zhang Jingjing, Mr. Ge Feng and Mr. Xia Jun from Friends of Nature NGO, Mr. Hu Yulai from Beijing Huanming Law Firm, Mr. Wang Haijun from Beijing DHH Law Firm, Mr. Liu Bing from Green Hunan and other attendances had in-depth discussion on legal issues including  statement of damage, proof of causality, usage and management of damage awards and other field of aspects.
